Recently I was staying in Berlin. I had a packed full weekend with limited free time to go shopping (realising later than expected that shops don’t always open on a Sunday(!) which was when I had the most free time). Berlin is quite a spread-out city and i didn’t have time to visit the stationery shops that had been recommended to me. Instead I stayed around the shopping area near where I was staying in Potsdamer Platz. The malls each had stationery and craft shops in them.
Shopping in Berlin @ the Mall of Berlin (Potsdamer Platz)
There are three key stationery / craft stores in the Mall of Berlin. Idee and Das Creative Hobby can both be found on the top floor. Idee has a good selection of stationery items (as well as craft items so this is where I spent most of my time) their basics range “Paper Poetry” had loads of great cheap options and I bought a number of notebooks and some My MeMo decorative tape. McPaper can be found in the basement. In addition to this hidden on the main floor by one of the main entrances was Promobo was a small jewellry and accessories shop which included quirky goods including Ministempel
Shopping in Berlin @ Arkaden (Potsdamer Platz)
Arkaden was another shopping centre, not a flashy as the Mall of Berlin – but had some decent shops. From a stationery and craft shop perspective there were a few options. The Haus Der Guten Taten which sells books and gifts. A small stationery store called Papterie Berlin . The basement level also had a number of craft stores.
