I backed the Balance Planner back in 2018/2019. However, because I buy so many planners I only got round to using it properly this year. The Balance Planner that I backed on Kickstarter included the 2019 edition of the Balance planner in a Saffiano Vegan Leather Cover.
Although the Balance Planner is for 2019 only the year calendar at the beginning of the Balance planner is 2019, the rest of the planner is undated. This has meant that I could start it when I wanted and because of this, I had held off using this planner until I needed it.
The Balance Planner
The beginning of the planner includes a number of planning and goal setting spreads including:
- Balance Wheel
- Yearly Vision
- Vision Board
- Better You
- Yes/No List
- Yearly Goals
For the most part, I’ve ignored these, although it would be great to have more “balance” this has been a real struggle in 2020 due to Covid-19 so I have pretty much overlooked this section and focused on the planning element instead.
Monthly Pages
The Balance Planner is only a 6-month planner. So it is perfect for short bursts of productivity and I’ve basically used it in replacement of the Projo.
The Monthly Pages include a month calendar grid spread, monthly goals and monthly reflections.
Weekly Pages
The Weekly pages include a daily schedule to keep you organised, to-do list based on “9 tasks a day” productivity principle, habit tracker that will help you to acquire and track positive habits and space for notes.
I don’t need all this as I use this planner to simply plan my to-do list, so in practice, I ignore the schedule and write one big to-do list. However, the habit tracker is handy for making sure I regularly write on the blog and use social media etc.
The space for notes is really handy because these are kept with the relevant month, so you can use the planner as a notebook in chronological order so if directly relating to the planning you can keep it on one place rather than always using a separate notebook.

The Cover
The cover is reusable. It is 22.1cmx15.3cm.
I choose the pink cover. Pink is not often my colour of choice. I originally chose it because I thought it would look better with the pink interior of the planner. However, following the end of the campaign, they changed the colour of the inner page to light grey. This was so that it matched all the covers – so I can see why they did this and it does make it look more minimalistic but part of me was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to the inner page colour.
Nevertheless I am still pleased that I went for the pink option.
It cover itself is a great colour and lovely and soft to touch. Inside the cover includes 3 card slots on the left inside cover as well as a pen loop. The pink cover also matches the ribbon markers.
You do not appear to still be able to buy a physical copy of this planner. However, you can find the digital edition here.
