As usual at Christmas I get lots of notebook and stationery goodies as gifts. I love it when people buy me notebooks from their travels as you can end up with the really cool and quirky collection that you wouldn’t personally buy/have the opportunity to buy. One of the notebooks I received has the Bayeux Tapestry on it and is from the Bayeux Museum.
The Bayeux Tapestry tells the epic story, in wool thread embroidered on linen cloth, of William, Duke of Normandy who became King of England in 1066 after the Battle of Hastings.
The notebook features scene 48 on the front cover. In this scene the soldiers went out of Hastings and came to battle against King Harold.
