I love undated planners (even when starting a new year because it gives you flexibility. I used the Swirls No. 2 Daily Planner from Completist in 2020 which I found when browsing in Papersmiths and Brush Check No.1 Daily Planner in 2021. I decided to go for another one this year – in a different vibrant colour and this time a special collaboration with Papersmiths. Meet Chicago No.3. The planners are designed in Peckham by The Completist, exclusively for Papersmiths, and are produced entirely in the UK.
The Completist has a fantastic range of colourful cover options (in both the Daily Planner and the Weekly Planner and a couple of dated options as well). It is never an easy choice deciding on which cover option to go for, but this one was the one I finally decided to get.
The planner is undated so you can start using it whenever you like. It has a day per page for weekdays and a page for the weekend. This means it is perfect for a work planner. It also runs for 52 weeks in total (so no need to update it each quarter like some other daily planner options).
The layout includes space for appointments/meetings, your to-do list and a blank section for notes. All you really need in one handy place for a work desk diary. Also the best bit – it is a lay-flat notebook so I can have it open on my desk and use it at the same time as my other notebooks.
There are only two downsides from my personal perspective. One is that there are only 3 notes pages at the back of the notebook (which is not the end of the world, but I personally prefer a few more) and that as it is undated there is no division between the months or monthly to-do list which can come in handy. However, this is not a reason not to use this planner and over the past year, I’ve simply modified how I have used this planner. For example, I use one of the weekend pages for my monthly to-do list.
