I recently bought the The Day Pad and Pencil by Crispin Finn from Papersmiths.
This desk pad has 6 classifications to plan and break up tasks. This is a different layout to the MiGoals pad which uses the Eisenhower Matrix. This pad includes:
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Evening
- Urgent
- Tomorrow
- Don’t Forget
The great thing about this pad is that it is a great mind dump. On days where my brain is jumping around everywhere and I don’t need to focus intensively to get as much as possible done (and when the Eisenhower Matrix is the perfect tool).
This one helps me to categorise my to do list by when I’ll do the tasks.
I am more productive in the morning, so the morning/afternoon allocation helps with this.
The evening i use for things that i need to do when I get home.
Urgent is for the “eat the frog” moments and MUST Do items and tomorrow is for what i didn’t get to today or can wait until tomorrow items.
Don’t forget I use for things that just pop into my head.
Overall this is great to do list method/planner – how are you using yours?
