A to Z of Kickstarted Stationery
D is for DayPocket
The DayPocket was funded in December 2016. It finally arrived with me in March 2018. The Estimated Delivery Date was August 2017. So they clearly had fulfillment issues. I had quite simply forgotten I had ordered it until the end of 2017. This is when we finally started getting more updates on what was going on. I think this was only after there was some outcry on Kickstarter. (Reminder to Kickstarter Creators out there – remember to update your backers on a regular basis).
So it arrived. Finally.
The box was pretty battered and fell apart despite the bubblewrap. However, the daypocket was not damaged so I was happy enough.
The DayPocket itself comes in two parts, the cover (I ordered Ash Grey) and the pockets which come separately in a paper bag/envelope. The pockets then need twisted and inserted into the cover, they are secured by the elasticated strap.
I have not used the DayPocket yet as I am planning to save it for my next trip. However, I am really looking forward to using it when I do go travelling as I can see this being a really useful product.
You can see examples of how to use the DayPocket on their Kickstarter Page and Instagram (although there is no recent/new content). I didn’t have a good customer experience so I don’t think I could recommend them as such, but the product itself is a great idea.
That’s interesting. It’s like the book I kept (with pockets) as my children grew up. Very nice.
