Delfonics first started with a diary you could enter your own date into in 1987. In 1988 Delfonics started to design and produce dated diaries. In 1995 Delfonics opened its first store in Shibuya in Tokyo in 1997.
The Rollbahn I purchased was a diary and notebook combo which includes:
- Overview 2016 Calendar
- Year Planner for 2016 and start of 2017
- Monthly Planner (on two pages) for 10.15 – 12.16.
- Grid Paper
- Plastic Pockets (which are amazingly useful for storage).
A beautiful notebook and another fantastic high quality product straight out of Japan.

The regular Rollbahn notebooks are similar except that they do not have the planners at the front of the notebook – but the still have the very useful pockets for storage. The notebooks are considered a fashion item (not just a stationery item) so you often see them popping up in stores like urban outfitters, paul smith, and J.Crew.
Why not share your views in the comments – are filofaxes, notebooks and other stationery items also fashion items?
