This Field Notes notebook from the County Fair Series (originally released in 2010) was my first Field Notes notebook. I bought it back in 2014. Being based in the UK meant that it took quite a while for Field Notes Pocket Notebooks to be available locally or with affordable shipping. Of course, once I discovered Field Notes Notebooks I fell in love with them. I have slowly acquired a small collection.
The notebook itself is now full of notes and scuffed around the edges particularly in the corners. However, I have generally found it hard-wearing. This is the case even though I have never used it with any of the protectors that I have bought.
County Fair Series
Each pack of Field Notes’ County Fair edition includes three memo books featuring your chosen state. The one pictured is California. All fifty states and Washington D.C are available.
The covers are printed in the traditional award ribbon colours: blue/red/yellow. On the back covers, you’ll find state facts and figures. Interestingly, these notebooks were also the first Field Notes notebook to have custom-themed Practical Applications.
