They say everyone has a book in them.
I wrote my first ‘book’ as a teenage writing on file paper and kept it in a ringbinder.
I am not a writer. But everyone once in a while I do have flashes of inspiration and feel like writing a short novel or short piece of fiction and of course nanowrimo in November often lights that fire.
Whatever your writing goals are or if you do it for fun and sometimes find yourself reaching for a notebook or two, scribbling your fiction is a great use for an everyday notebook. Of course if you are serious about writing a fictional novel there are more specific notebooks that are worth looking into, but for the casual writer a decent long-lasting hardback notebook is probably a good choice.
Have you ever been inspired to write a novel?

Funny story, I was inspired with the idea for a short story cycle one restless night after 20 years of little interest in fiction writing. Now I’m theoretically working on making it a career.
I’m playing with the idea of getting some of those reusable notebooks for my fiction (and other notebook things). On the one hand it’s a shame to erase my rough drafts, but it would make things more practical especially once I’m travelling full time and don’t want to ship my notebooks home every so often.
We love that spark! Sometimes it happens that way– a small note turns into many notes and suddenly there’s a novel ready to be offered to the world.
Great post. Keep the words flowing!
