During July I was using Field Notes Expedition as my monthly notebook. This notebook has a hi-visibility “Antarctic Survey Orange” front cover and “Polar Night Black” back cover, with a subtle varnish effect featuring a topographic map of Antarctica. This provides a great contrast. The whole book is printed on Yupo Synthetic paper, an amazing water and tear-proof paper. However, this has made it difficult to find the perfect pen to use with these notebooks (to avoid smudging). I am primarily using a frixion pen with this, which has been working well with only a few smudged pages – but I’ve been tidying it up). If you have been having issues find a suitable pen – check out pen addict.
