I love Japanese Stationery. I even dedicated a whole A to Z Challenge to Japanese Stationery in 2016. So this time I wanted to highlight a couple of pocket notebooks from Japanese Stationery Brands.

Life
I first discovered “Life” stationery when I was travelling in Japan. The Life Vermilion notebook (pictured above) is a simple yet high-quality notebook, both inside and out. It is a 5mm grid notebook with a vermilion coloured grid on cream coloured paper.

Another example of a pocket notebook by Life is the Margin Notebook. This is a plain notebook with a thick red margin layout.

I think of myself as a semi-obsessed stationery freak but when I was in Ginza, Japan last year, I had to go to Itoya. And I did, and I came out with a moleskine because frankly I was overwhelmed with the entire store. So overwhelmed. I don’t have a particular place/ country to buy stationeries but wherever I travel, I’ll go to at least one stationery store.
