This week I received by “early bird” pack from Paper Pioneers. I backed a single early bird pack (at £15).

This included a nice handwritten note from the guys at Paper Pioneers as well a selection of 4 beautifully designed cards:

First up is a birthday card for the mermaid in your life –  this is a really fun card – and I already know who will be getting this one – after all, we all know someone who loves mermaids. The second birthday card is probably my favourite of the 4 cards because of the colour. I think it looks fantastic and was really pleased by the inclusion of this card. It is a fairly neutral card so could be used for anyone – but it is probably best suited for a keen gardener or a friend with a sunny personality.

Next up is “Lobsta’ Love” card for someone special in your life. This instantly reminded me of Ross and Rachel in friends and Phoebe’s Lobster theory. A cute card.

The final card was a new baby card – which was perfectly timed as I was after one of these. The card is gender neutral and a good choice of colours with green and yellow being the dominant colours.

According to their Kickstarter Page (as their website is not up and running yet) Paper Pioneers is a small company of four based in Bristol, each with over 10 years’ experience working in design and we’re passionate about all things creative. They also work with a network of super talented local designers, artists, and illustrators.

If you join the subscription box you will get a selection of uniquely designed cards through your letterbox each month. Each selection includes a range of occasions and a variety of looks so there will always be something for everyone. However, what is not clear is when the subscription will be kicking off – however, it is one to watch.
