The Rocketbook Orbit finally arrived. I ordered this on Kickstarter at the beginning of lockdown thinking at the time I won’t still be working from home by the time this arrives but I’ll get it anyway, but here we are almost at the end of 2020 and I am still working from home.

Throughout lockdown (and pre-lockdown) I’ve been using monthly notebooks and legal pads constantly. Accordingly to Rocketbook the original legal pad design hasn’t been revisited since 1888! This is their 21st century solution.

The Rocketbook Orbit is a reusable, customisable, cloud-connected pen and paper notepad. The Orbit utilizes customised “Page Packs” that can be removed from the pad. The product has stainless steel rings attached to every pack of Rocketbook pages that can be lifted off the Orbit, flipped 360 degrees, and changed out. I just got the standard lined / dot-grid combo Page Pack but other options are available.

The Rocketbook App can be used to scan send and organise your pages. It also has an OCR feature.

You can use any Pilot FriXion product on your Rocketbook Orbit pages. Then, simply use a damp cloth to wipe your pages clean again. The pack includes a Rocketbook microfiber towel for wiping it clean.
