Livework Slow and Steady 4 Month Daily Planner
Back in June, I bought a Livework Slow and Steady 4 Month Daily Planner. These beautiful undated planners are A5 in size, have lay-flat binding and a PVC cover to keep the cover neat and tidy while to carry it around. I opted for the lavender yellow gradient cover which I felt gave a calming feel.
The front page is a “slow and steady list page” with space for your name and telephone number – I didn’t end up using slow and steady grid/table – as I wasn’t sure what to use it for.
After the first page, there are monthly overview pages. I used these for birthdays and planning out my month. What I loved about the monthly pages is that the planner actually includes 5 monthly layouts (rather than 4) so you can easily plan ahead for the next month without needing to carry around two planners as you approach the end of the month. My criticism is that the months start on a Sunday. I prefer a Monday start to the week. I would have prefered if they had kept the day blank so that you could choose.
Weekly Overview
The weekly overview pages and then daily planning pages cover a period of 4 months. The weekly overview pages include to-do list space and overview of the week. I am not sure what the Korean titles actually mean – but I used these spaces for notes and to-dos and weekly goals. There is also a tracker grid at the bottom of the page which is presumably for tracking your habits. I used this for tracking my daily social media activities.
Daily Pages
In between the weekly overview pages, there is also daily pages for each day of the week. This includes space for the key to do items at the top, schedule on the left-hand side of the page and a grid for freehand entries on the right-hand side. Depending on your needs this should be used as a further to do list, a journal entry, drawing and sketches or notes. It is of a suitable size to include regular sized sticky notes/post-its.
Version 2
The Livework planner that I bought is a version 1 of the planner. Livework have now released a v2. of the slow and steady planner. This has been updated to include (in addition to the above pages): 4-month plan and 4-month schedule. The monthly grids have been updated so instead of blank pages they are now overlaid on grid pages.
The weekly / daily pages have also been updated to include slightly different optimised layouts. In particular, the daily pages have been updated to include a vertical to do list/schedule on the left-hand side of the page.
