I thought it was about time I brought back the regular Monthly Notebooks feature – where I share my everyday carry (edc) notebook of the month (you can find the full list of notebooks here). During May I used a lined Calepino pocket notebook “Calepino No1 Papier Ligne” – I got this notebook as a pack of three from pocketnotebooks.co.uk. They come in a nice little presentation box of three. The notebooks are simplistic in nature and have a no fuss appeal.

The lines in the Calepino are red and 6mm making the notebook easy to write on for every day writing. The cardboard cover is surprisingly study and hard-wearing. They are more durable than Field Notes Pocket Notebooks while still having the same flexibility in the cover. Therefore these make a great everyday notebook.
The Calepino Notebooks are also available in grid/quadrille (no. 2 papier quadrille), plain (no.3 papier blanc) and dot grid (no.4 papier dotgrid), so there is something to suit all tastes.
