New week, new notebook. This is our properly monthly notebook for August/September. As I am currently spending time in front of the computer at home (instead of in a coffee shop) I am not using my more traditional monthly notebook set up as usual.
The notebook is part of the Elemental Paper Notebooks collection. Through the original Kickstarter Campaign, they raised enough funds to “unlock” the first 4 notebooks: Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Nitrogen.
The Hydrogen Notebook that I am using is one of these.
The elements emission spectrum is printed on the edge of the paper, its Bohr model and a periodic table inside the front cover, and the elements square foil is stamped on the spine of the notebook.
The Hydrogen notebook has a light-grey cover, which contrasts beautifully with the black printed paper edges and the black foil stamping on the spine. I really love the details of these notebooks such as spine detail and the periodic table on the inside of the notebook.
However, these notebooks look better than they write and for some (unknown) reason I have found it hard to engage with and fall in love with/want to use this notebook, which is why it has perhaps taken longer to fill than I would usually expect.
Some people may also find the dot grid a bit too dark. But it lays flat very well and the two ribbon markers are a great added bonus. I love having two ribbon markers as this helps me to separate keep track of my to-do list as well as what I am working on.
