Welcome to National Stationery Week. National Stationery Week celebrates the written word and all things stationery. Now that is something to celebrate.

Today is #pencilday.

I enjoy a good mechanical pencil. Pencils are rarely my tool of choice but sometimes if I am writing in what I can only describe as “draft mode” without a frixion pen a mechanical pencil can work a treat. I am currently using a mechanical pencil (unfortunately with an uneven lead and it is driving me nuts) in both my current Word Notebook (pictured) and my Midori Traveler’s Notebook. But as much as I am a self-confessed stationery addict I have not yet ventured into the world of pencils. Perhaps National Stationery Week can point me in the direct of some interesting pencil options.
