The fifth subscription since the quarterly reboot by Nero’s Notes – August was box 2 of the Nero’s Subscription (don’t worry if you are getting confused I am too… but the main thing is it is all great stationery).
The box included “Summit” by Blackwing. The Summit Notebook is a large format notebook designed for creating! Blackwing describe the notebook as follows:
Sometimes, you need room for your ideas to take shape. The Summit notebook is a no-frills, large-format notebook with plenty of room for brainstorming, sketching and writing. It features a flex cover (imagine the thickness of a hardcover, with the flexibility of a paper cover) and our signature matte black finish. Inside, you’ll find 160 pages of 100GSM ivory paper and a ribbon placement marker.
And that’s it.
This is our blank canvas. Once opened, the useable space in a Summit measures 15 inches x 10 inches. You can take notes in your Summit and then take notes about those notes. You can sketch a landscape, turn your head 45 degrees, and keep on sketching.
It is a beautiful high quality notebook. The cover is beautifully soft / flexible while still providing support and the notebook lays flat perfect for writing notes and sketching.

The Summit Notebook is of course the perfect choice to go with Blackwing Pencils. As an added extra the subscription box included a Blackwing Pencil – A palomino pearl. The Blackwing Pearl features a pearl white finish, gold imprint and black eraser. Also if anyone has any recommendations for a decent pencil sharpener – please leave a comment 🙂
The final goodie in the subscription box was a Nero Sticker. I can never have too many stickers – so I am always happy to have more stickers to added to the collection.
