Welcome to our A to Z Challenge for 2020. Thank you for joining us for another celebration of notebooks. We are looking at notebooks and stationery from around the world this year.
Papelarias Emilio Braga
Emílio de Silva Braga founded his stationery company in 1918. Four generations of his family have produced completely handmade stationery at the factory-come-shop in Prior Velho, on the outskirts of Lisbon, ever since.
The Notebooks are still produced in a handmade way. They are sewn and glued using techniques over 100 years old, the interior pages can be of various types, usually are smooth with a paper of 90gsm in cream paper. The spine and corners are crafted from cotton fabric to give it superior resistance. All materials used are non-toxic and most of the materials are recycled and recyclable, all paper used comes from suppliers with FSC certification.
